Patch Contest
Our patch and logo needs to be reworked as Emergency Management is not within
our office anymore.
Well we announced at the 2010 Chiefs meeting that we will be holding a patch
contest. The McKinley County Fire Administration needs a new logo and
patch and we are not artists, we can barely paint a wall. We would like to
have a patch that everyone would be proud to wear.
As we said, we work for you and there
should be no difference between career and volunteers, and we would like
everyone to wear the patch/logo if they want.
So, the station member who submits a winning patch/logo will win their
station
Rules:
- The words SAVE, LIVES, PROTECT, PROPERTY has been a motto since we began
more then 20 years ago, we would like to see it included, if you look at the
current patch/logo the way I put it could be protect lives, protect property,
save lives, save property. That was done on purpose, and if that could
be worked in it would be nice; but is not necessary for submittal (new can be
good too) .
- Words FIRE, RESCUE, EMS and MCKINLEY COUNTY must
be included. This can be in any color, color selection is
totally up to the artist
- Any McKinley County Fire Station can submit as many designs as they like.
- Sorry this is closed to other agencies and must be submitted on behalf
of a McKinley County Fire Department. You can use anyone you want,
maybe a community member, or a family member would like to help the
department, this is a excellent opportunity for them to help the department.
- The prize must go to a McKinley County Fire Department and remains
McKinley County property.
- Place the name of the artist and station identification on the back of the
submittal. Turn into EMS Chief Hoffman at the Fire Admin.
- If selected; the design becomes McKinley County Property and will be made
into patches and the new logo for the Fire Administration and any McKinley
County Fire Personnel that desires to wear it.
- Designs must be submitted by close of business, April 1st 2010,
no exceptions.
- The Selection board will be one member from the following selected
stations for a 5 member board (chosen at the meeting)
McKinley West
Pinehaven
Ramah/Timberlake (only one person)
Bluewater Lake
Pinedale-Mariano Lake
- The board member of the selection board cannot rate a patch
submitted by their department.
- The designs will be rated on a rating sheet and selected on a points
system.
- Chief's Bill Woolman and Ken Hoffman will make final selection if there is
a tie.
GOOD LUCK
